Research Innovation Fund
In its second year, the UCLA Initiative to Study Hate has distributed nearly $400,000 in research funds to 4 large-scale and 7 smaller-scale research projects examining the phenomenon of hate. Researchers who comprise this second cohort hail from more than 13 disciplines.
Core Research Team
ISH’s second year marks the launch of a new in-house “research hub” to examine some of the core research questions animating the study of hate. This hub is comprised of Professor David N. Meyers, Professor Aaron Panofsky, and three post-doctoral scholars.
Student Fellows Program
Two graduate and three undergraduate students are serving as ISH Student Fellows this year. These students conduct their own personal research addressing hate, participate in research hub meetings, and act as ISH ambassadors to the public.
Research Partnerships
ISH is committed to establishing research partnerships across campus and beyond. This year, ISH has partnered with the California Commission on the State of Hate as well as with the UCLA Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies.
